Terrible Old Man is a fairly new band whose lyrics are inspired by the poems of H. P. Lovecraft. This is the debut album of the band and it is called “Cosmic Poems”.
Coming with eleven tracks this album is interesting, to say the least. With a smoky voice and distorted guitars, Terrible Old Man is guiding you through the album. Each song is telling a story. The arrangements of each track create the perfect atmosphere for the story to tell, but all have a creepy touch to it. With a total album duration of forty minutes, Terrible Old Man wander between regular rock and horror punk with the sound of their music. Some songs could even count as metal with the growled vocals and the fast double kick of the drummer. The guys play with pace and melodies to catch the perfect mood for the story, causing the arrangements to create pictures in your mind. The song titles are directly related to short stories by H. P. Lovecraft.
It is a brilliant album for all horror fans. “Cosmic Poems” would be a perfect soundtrack for a Halloween Party. It’s time to create your costume! Until then, enjoy the horror “Cosmic Poems” spreads. Terrible Old Man is out there, waiting for you.
