Mark Blomsteel is a Dutch singer who moved over to the US. He worked with a diversity of artists to create an album called “Crank It” which is out now.
The album has a Pop/Rock description but you can’t fail to miss the Country in as well. Not really like the old classic style as you may hear off most of the time, but all with a modern twist. The songs are catchy and hearing them once is enough to remember them which makes this album a good one for being on the road. But have no illusions, the songs may sound like a great bunch of tracks together, but it certainly is not from own hands. The songs come from a diversity of writers and so it must have been an interesting challenge to make it all work together. Luckily the mission seems accomplished and the songs are making it an unity. Starting with “Crank it” which you will remember most after the album towards the end with “Give You Back” you’ll see a whole range of what Mark can bring and how easily he can modernize the music, give it a pop edge and make the music hot and accessible.
