Godsmack is an American alternative metal band from Lawrence, Massachusetts, formed in 1995. The band is composed of founder, frontman and songwriter Sully Erna, guitarist Tony Rombola, bassist Robbie Merrill, and drummer Shannon Larkin.
Since its formation, Godsmack has released six studio albums, one EP, four DVDs, one compilation album, and one live album. This full length studio album being their sixth, it’s called “1000hp” and has a classic car burning on the cover. Coming with eleven tracks this album has a total duration of fifty minutes. When pressing play on this album you hear an engine starting before Godsmack put the pedal to the metal and start with their kick ass music. Eleven powerful and strong songs that push you through, get your adrenaline pumping and cause an urge in you to move along to the fast beats. The strong voice of the singer along with the rough riffs add quite a depth and seriousness to the album. The songs are perfect to shout along to and bang your head to. Some songs are not as rough as others, but all are meant to get stuck in your head. Almost twenty years of band history are definitely leaving traces, traces you can hear on this album. Solid and passionate music, thought trough and lyrics that go deep. The new Godsmack album “1000hp” is out there waiting for you.
