I Love Rich – Respect The Rich

I love Rich is an American Rock and Roll band since the 90’s. After the release of for full lengths a new one sees light this year. “Respect The Rich” is out now.

A band with an attitude so you can say, they are straightforward with their lyrics, nothing to hide it’s all out there. Perhaps titles like”(You’re so hot) I’m Gonna Fuck You With The Lights On” or “If You Don’t Take Your Clothes Off, Tonight’s Gonna Suck” say pretty much what you can expect. Rebelicious and wild as it is.
Musically the band kept it pretty raw. Not too much polished which gives you the feeling it is done with the right image in the mind of how it was supposed to end and not much experimenting needed to find that level of perfection. Punk/Rock and Roll attitude is all over it.
On the vocal side we are less convinced. There is probably a bit more to win when it would be given more thought. So overall you could see its quite two-sided. We like that raw edge on it, not giving too much of shit for perfection, but there is still that little growth potential when given it some extra care. Above all it becomes quite clear that this band is a live sensation where the songs really come alive so our suggestion is to go to their show first and of you felt that atmosphere take the album home with you as a reference to that night.
