Wasted Shells – The Collector

Releasedate: 04-04-2014; Label: Sonic Revolution/Bob Media
By: Sabine van Gameren

The Swedish Thrash Metal formation Wasted Shells has been formed in 2006. The band released two full length albums before, anno 2014, their new album “The Collector” sees light.

The name may suspect you that we are dealing with a collection/best of album, but that is not the case. In fact, this album is mentioned as their second release as they have gone through a major reinvention in 2010 and perhaps that one other release does not cover the load any longer.
what we are getting right now is not released material, but probably still a bit of the best of as the guys say to have developed much further which immediately scales their new material as better than ever before. Must say, they have a strong package to deliver. Energetic riffs and a whole sound that gives them a solid backbone for vocalist Ola Svensson to come over at with his powerful vocals.
“The Collector” is then a splendid release from these Swedes. If they have found what they were looking for is up to them, but with this album you have one in your hands that gives plenty minutes of listening pleasure, flows so easily that it’s an easy an instant success.
