Ready,Set,Fall – Memento

Releasedate: 24-02-2014; Label: Lifeforce Records
By: Dorota Spyra

Ready,Set,Fall is a band from Italy.Interestingly the band electrifies both melody and verve, which has made his way into the hardcore and heavy metal with some of the latest pop influences. The band is born in 2010, after the breakup of their previous project, Santolla (bassist) and drummer Giovanni Andrea Larosa needed a vocalist and guitarists and found those in Christopher Volpi and Francesco Galluccio and Andrea Moss.

Currently this band is new to me so I can describe them more after questioning the album a few times. In spite of the fact and the knowledge that they belong to the mainstream, which many representatives appreciate, I’m already convinced that the new album is a bit different from the bands whose I listen to. More here growls and screams but even here you can listen to lots of melodic thrash like the song “Tidal Waves Could Save The World” begins with a gentle sound which goes into a strong trash and then appears a melodious voice. The song is very energetic, catchy.

In the song “Meri Maat” the riffs are solid and sharp as a razor. Punk rhythms in true Thrash style supported by a brilliant sound. I would like to say that the album reminds me a little to the sound of the band “As I Lay Dying” and also the following metalcore band from Egypt “Destiny In Chains”. If anyone is looking for music that can be freely held in several drawers and like the energetic sound with melodic inserted…and masterful combination of these elements, it’s a cd for you! I recommend!
