Killface – Feeding The Dead

The Irish Metal formation Killface has their focus on Old School Thrash/Death Metal. The have been doing so since 2008 and anno 2014 the band comes with the full length release “Feeding The Death.

The guys have taken their album a step ahead. They claim to have gone more brutal and more aggressive than before. That brutality is easily recognized when listening the album. But maybe it is not the main point of this release. The guys take their chance with throwing in a good dose of Groove and it works for them quite well.
While Old School is the most obvious it must be said that some flirting with more modern style is to be found and that is exactly what keeps the album refreshing. It brings in the variation that makes sure you keep your attention with the release for the whole length of it. This, may also be a trap for the band, because of they are not keeping their eyes and ears on that, it is easy for a release to slob off into a more generic sound.

But luckily for “Feeding The Dead” it has turned out to be an album that raises them up. We hope to hear more from them in future.
