Drop The Pilot – Bedtime Story

Drop The Pilot is a band from Finland making post-hardcore. The band has been founded in 2010 and since then they have released a demo and two EP’s. The last one “Bedtime Story” got recently released.

Six men into a band like this must bring a whole lot of strength you would say and it surely seem to be like that. Strong guitars present you with some good melodics and live up to the expectation, jumping just a bit higher than most of the genre do. Plenty bands around like them, so besides this all they are blessed with their vocal side as well as it makes them stand out a bit more. Vocalists Japi and Jesse as well as backing vocals of Timo form a good match as their voices are not too strongly apart from each other. The four tracks on the release are over soon and as a little point of critic to make on this release it may be that the production of it could have had a little more shine, no need to go too raw with a release like this.

“Bedtime Story” may not be one to listen to before you go to sleep as it is quite energetic music. Im sure you could listen to that through the day instead and enjoy it.
