The Bennies is a punk rock ska band from Melbourne, Australia. The Bennies stormed into 2014 with their epic ‘Knights Forever’ tour, which was their biggest, wildest, loudest and most successful tour to date, followed up in June with 4 huge Queens Birthday weekend shows on the East Coast. Now they have released their new album which is called “Wisdom Machine”.
The album begins with the sound of a modem, like we remember it from the 90s. Then the music sets in. Loud and rich. Blasting right at you. Then the noise breaks, and the ska sets in. With trumpets and great rhythms, “Wisdom Machine” is taking you on a journey through time and space. From past to future, from traditional ska music to electro and disco samples, The Bennies are experimenting with their music. Each song is carrying a very unique spirit. But each song will get you going along. Whether it is swaying back and forth or jumping along to the music. The Bennies have a great variety of speeds and rhythms.
The fast and thriving debut album “Wisdom Machine” comes with eleven catchy songs. The Bennies are entertaining you for a little over forty minutes. So hop on the party train with the Aussies from The Bennies and have a good time. “Wisdom Machine” is awaiting you.
