Empire In Dust is an electro pop trio from Berlin, Germany. The project was originally founded in 2000. Due to the distance between the founding embers, the first songs took very long, but they never stopped working on their music or playing shows. Now, after all these years, Empire In Dust finally completed the hard work on their debut album. “A Place To Rest” is finally here.
Eleven songs lasting for about fifty minutes get you going along. “A Place To Rest” if everything else but an album you fall asleep to. Fast and thriving electronic tunes come at you when pressing play on the brand new Empire In Dust album. With a low voice the singer is bringing across the stories the band is telling with this album. Every now and then you have female backing vocals or samples that help setting the mood for the songs. The song “Libria” even has a orchestral ending.
“A Place To Rest” is an interesting album that sounds fresh yet not strange. Catchy and dark electro pop with only few bright moments, Empire In Dust definitely fit into the Gothic and Dark Wave genre. As a debut album this piece is brilliant. So go ahead and check it out. The brand new album by Empire in Dust is waiting for you: “A Place To Rest”.
