Temptation For The Weak – Black Vision

The Belgian formation Temptation For The Weak has been formed in 2011. The band quickly released their album “Spoken Silence” and started building a live reputation. This year the band returns with a new full length album called “Black Vision”.

As an influence the band names Machine Head and Trivium, some names that come quite close to the core so to say. The album has a quite varied tracklist for the listener. Playing with different edges on their songs but never stepping away too much from the red thread in the whole the band maintained a unity in it. One song that jumped out right away is “Not Forsaken” where the solo is drawing a lot of attention, but it is not the only song that has this as a pushing factor. The band knows how to portrait their individual qualities well without overdoing it and that suits them well. Here and there the vocals could maybe have a bit more of a raw edge even to make it just a bit more powerful, but that is simply a minor remark to make.

The band already played the mighty Graspop Metal Meeting festival and with a release like “Black Vision” they will surely attract the interest of more bookers. An energetic release that leads to the hope to see them putting this up for real in a live situation.
