A rock legend is back: Killing Joke now released a brand new album called “Pylon”. Killing Joke was formed in 1978 and have influenced the world of music ever since with their creations. More than thirty years have brought along quite a history, lots of shows and releases. Even a documentary film about Killing Joke was made. And now we are holding their brand new studio album in our hands.
“Pylon” is dark, heavy, thriving, catchy and legendary. Killing Joke definitely know how to create songs and albums that are not only timeless but also strong and deep. The balance between instrumental and vocals is well kept. Neither is in the background or has too much focus. It seems as if all elements are at the same level and keep it even throughout the album. Which is impressive. “Pylon” is covering you in dark clouds, dragging you along. Just to leave you craving for more.
All these years of Killing Joke as a band have left their traces. And these traces you can hear on their brand new album. A must have for all electro and rock fans, and of course all lovers of classics in this genre. A brilliant piece of music that will never bore. Check it out and move along to “Pylon”. The brand new album by Killing Joke.
