Klaas Heufer-Umlauf and Mark Tavassol are the founders of the brand new band Gloria. Klaas is known as an entertainer and TV host, Mark as the guitar player of the German band Wir Sind Helden.

Years ago both started making music together just for the fun. It had gotten serious for their self titled debut album, then it grew quiet around the project again. Now, the duo has released their sophomore album which is called “Geister”. Coming with eleven tracks this album is quite mind blowing with beautiful melodies and lyrics. Slow and calm music, yet catchy enough to sway along to the music. Each song will get stuck in your head instantly. When listening to the music, it will carry your thoughts far away.

Gloria is painting pictures and telling tales during the forty five minutes. Even though the lyrics of some songs are quite sad and tragic, the music on the album still spreads peace and calmness. The lyrics are in German and worth listening to closely. The melodies alone are capable of carrying you away as well though. The combination is what makes this album just as addictive as the previous one.
