Love Amongst Ruin are an English rock band, led by former Placebo drummer Steve Hewitt. The self titled debut album was released in September 2010. For eighteen months the band performed across Europe. Headlining many of their own shows but also appearing at major festivals, Eurosonic & Sonisphere, and opening for Feeder at a handful of shows in England. They have now released their second album called “Lose Your Way”, finally.
Coming with eight regular songs and two bonus tracks this album has a total of ten tracks in merely forty-nine minutes. The bonus tracks are different versions of previous songs. As we know it from the previous album, Love Amongst Ruin is using a very pure artwork for the album. Solitude and nature, leaving room for own thoughts and interpretations. Deep lyrics and melodic music, sometimes even slightly melancholic.
This album is letting your mind wander off, creating worlds and stories. A beautiful album that will not only get stuck in your head, but also your heart. Emotional songs with beautiful lyrics, wrapped in great arrangements that carry an epic sound. The unique sound of Love Amongst Ruin is outstanding and a must check out for all friends of good music. So give their sophomore album “Lose Your Way” a try, it is out now.
