The German synth-pop band Beyond Obsession was founded in June 2012. In October, the band released their first single “On My Way”, which had also been part of the Russian compilation “Synthematika Four” in December 2012. Soon their debut album followed, and now Beyond Obsession have already released their sophomore album.
This release is called “Pieces Of Machinery” and comes with ten tracks. Smooth and mellow music that gets you swaying along, forgetting what’s around you. But this album is not boring at all. “Pieces Of Machinery” also includes faster and more thriving songs, pulling you onto the dance floor. Even though this is only the second album of Beyond Obsession, it sounds as if they had been making music for ever. A very professional style with brilliant lyrics and melodies lets them compete with the big synth bands of this era. The album lasts for almost forty-five minutes and is definitely worth every second of attention you spend on it. The opening seconds of the album remind a little bit of Depeche Mode and carry on with catchy tunes. “Pieces Of Machinery” is a great album with many facets. A must check out. Also keep your eyes open at the upcoming dark festival summer. You will most likely find them at one or the other. “Pieces Of Machinery” is out now.
