Stiv Cantarelli And The Silent Strangers showed themselves first with the release of their debut album about one and half years ago. Postpunk, Americana and the now mentioned Blues are what gives the basis for these guys. All coming together in a brand new release called: “Banks Of The Lea”.
With the description given you may have expected the album to be a bit calmer than it is but when playing it you may be confronted with a huge dose of energy and passion that creates the sound of Stiv Cantarelli And The Silent Strangers.
The band makes an exciting mix where saxophone and guitars go hand in hand and can stand out together instead of having the solo’s shine most. No the band stands for teamwork and this comes out as a collection of energetic songs.
What this band is not comes down to a stereotype. Perhaps they give it all a name for having these influences in there but perhaps you must look at it with a blanco card in your hands. No tags, just an open mind and feel the music. Get yourself surprised and enjoy this album when it warms you up for whatever party you are up to.
