Venue: w2, Den Bosch (Netherlands)

John Garcia we know as the vocalist of Kyuss which he formed in 1989. Five full length albums later and a whole lot of bitchfighting between the group it now seems over and John Garcia came with a solo album and a tour.
This evening mr. Garcia was to be seen in Den Bosch (Netherlands). The place is packed and it is clear that the reputation of this man is enough to get the audience coming. Or maybe they were simply expecting a lot of Kyuss songs to be played. If that was the case, people will not be disappointed at all. From memory we counted about seven Kyuss songs, almost half the set. But for those who are more curious about his solo material there was plenty to enjoy as well. A good mix for both sides we say.
John seems very aware of his following. A small smile when seeing the audience and a slightly cocky attitude give away that it does not surprise him at all. A lot of confidence radiates from him and fair enough, he has all rights too. Flawlessly he brings his voice into the mix after the band has warmed up the audience and within a second the crowd is eating out of his hand.
A couple of interruptions are passing by and the band tries to keep the audience entertained meanwhile. It shows clearly that not all is always in control as they wish but when all starts going again the flow seemed never to be lost at all.
When the long set comes to an end the venue has been presented a wide range of what John Garcia can do, has done and will do. A good evening for the fans.
