Elitbolaget presents Uprising 2.

Elitbogalet is a music production company from Finland with a small amount of bands attached to them. They made a sampler with a diversity of acts, mostly from Finland but also from other countries. What they have in common is they all embrace the DIY mentality.

The first three tracks on this sampler are Hardcore variations, short tracks straight to the point and right in your face. Then we are presented with Bob Malmström’s “I Lag Med Wahlroos” which has more melodics in their song. They bring the bridge to what comes after them, when the styles are changing towards more Metal songs. What comes to notice is “Black Hound” by Cantilena which is more Thrash Metal and seem to bring the tempo a bit down. That seems only there for one song as the rage goes on with a diversity of acts having two Grindcore acts presenting their songs. The benefit is for Cannibal Accident with ”Shit Fix/Fistfucking Varissuo”.
Also to be found is Khroma, which we saw live recently and eventually we come to the quite calm track “Aqua Hiatus” by Stoner formation Demonic Death Sludge. An interesting track that makes you wonder about a longer listening experience of their sounds. But the song that stands out most in this release is by Antagonist Zero and is called “Fading”. They describe it as catatonic metal and it is surely a dreamy and doomy song. Within a minute they drag you into their mood and with the 5.23 minutes the song takes they surely captured our interest.
The album closes with the intense Death/Doom experience by Psilocybe Larvae which in quality doesn’t hold back to come near all the bigger names in the genre.

Overall this sampler gives you a great collection of music in a diversity of styles, but by acts who are all working hard to get out their own their own.
