L.R.S. is a formation by vocalist Tommy LaVerdi (21 Guns), guitarist Josh Ramos (The Storm, Hardline) and drummer Michael Shotton (Von Groove). Anno 2014 they release the album “Down To The Core”.

The three musicians together have a whole lot of accumulated years of experience and you probably will expect a well thought album with well composed songs. That exactly is what you will get, the songs are melodic and catchy, giving you some words of encouragement, taken out of life and overall there is a feel good atmosphere. Maybe it all comes a bit as too good after all, were you expecting some surprises, but those are perhaps not to be found for many. The guys have decided to stick with what they do best, with splendid outcome so to say, but maybe not that thrilling or exciting. Have you hoped for a bit more playfulness a little step away from the stereotype than “Down To The Core” won’t be it for you. If you simply want to enjoy some quality Melodic Rock this release will give you that exactly, many playing hours guaranteed, you can’t deny that. But secretly I hoped these three guys teamed up together and set something surprising and that may have to wait for another occasion I suppose.
