Seahaven began in 2009 as four friends in Southern California who shared a passion for the post-punk and indie sensibilities of favorites Brand New, Jawbreaker, and Crime in Stereo.
They have now released their sophomore album which is called “Reverie Lagoon: Music For Escapism Only”. The brand new release is coming with fourteen tracks. When listening to “Reverie Lagoon: Music For Escapism Only” you can hear far more indie influence than punk. It sounds as if the songs are unimpressed by anything or anyone, standing alone in an empty space, telling their story. Seahaven definitely manages to have pictures appear in your head when listening to the music. The voice is not straight out but feels held back a little as if the singer is shy. “Reverie Lagoon: Music For Escapism Only” definitely is an interesting album with unique music. And the songs don’t really faded in with the background as they always catch your ear and mind. So if you are up for fresh and independent music without any influences that does not sound as if you heard it before, this album is just perfect for you. Seahaven’s new album “Reverie Lagoon: Music For Escapism Only” is out now.
