Wishbone Ash – Blue Horizon

Releasedate: 04-03-2014; Label: Solid Rockhouse Recordings
By: Sabine van Gameren

Wishbone Ash is name that many may have heard before and that is not that strange knowing that anno 2014 the band is ready to release their 24th studio album. It is called “Blue Horizon” and follows two years after the previous release.

After 24 studio albums released you obviously must be knowing what you are doing, so we hardly have to debate on that when it comes to the new release of Wishbone Ash. The band has 45 years of history on their name and no doubt plenty stories made during the years. Andy Powell and his mates are back to bring you something new. “Blue Horizon” is an album that does not need a lot of introduction. It is exactly what you would expect from the band and you don’t have to go looki9ng for a whole lot of renewed parts as it simply ain’t there. And to be honest, there is absolutely no need for that either. Songs like “Being One” and “Mary Jane” are giving you a confidential sound and are easy to listen to. The whole album has the flow in it and before you know the album is over. No, if you even had the crazy idea in your head that this new release would not be any good than from the first minute on you will be awaken. Wishbone Ash is still going strong!
