Pink Cream 69 – Ceremonial

Releasedate: 25-01-2012; Label: Frontiers Records
By: Milla Smile

The German band “Pink Cream 69” was founded in 1987. The eleventh album “Ceremonial” released after six silent years in 2013. Let see what that pause brought to the hard rock world.

Nothing new. But old and time-tested moments are flawless on their ways. The energetic opening track with oriental spices “Land of confusion” announced we are on the hard rock field. Then I mention track “Special” which is real highlight of the entire album includes solid choruses. The biographic “I came to rock” track is about guess what. Correct, the atmosphere of this track is possible most rock’n’roll-ish than others. Another solid track “Big machine” combined wild guitar solos and up-and-down chorus. Some slow tracks (I can’t title them as ballads) would be mentioned. There are “Find your soul”, “Passage of time” and “Right from wrong”. All the pointed tracks have amazing craying equipment work and powerful choruses (again) in additional. The last one thing I’d like talk about is the cover art. Just look at this parody of the most known and pretty strange painting of Grant Wood named “American Gothic”. The main heroes of that painting turned aside from the audience and we finally see what look their backs. Well what else hidden senses brought the album you can find without our help.

Back to music, the “Ceremonial” album is real legacy which able to form the right idea of classy hard rock format.
