Cold Rush – Disclosing The Vicious Seeds

Cold Rush is a band from Germany. They make electro/Industrial Metal. Their debut album came out in 2009. The band has got a new singer, Matthias Kupka, and is currently working on a second album, but first the release of their single “Disclosing The Vicious Seeds”.

Only two songs to judge, but only a few seconds were needed to catch my attention. The vocals in here are quite harsh, very Metal oriented and because this band has a strong guitar section this Metal feeling gets stronger. The slowest vocal parts are not the strongest addition, Matthias is on his best in full passion. Perhaps because these slower parts you expect slightly bit deeper than they are to make the contrast a bit larger, but also they sometimes feel a bit unstable. Bring on the brutality as that clearly works very well for him. Besides the vocals, you cannot miss out on noticing the guitar solo that sneaks in at “White Z” surely bringing another dimension to it all.
Overall the band did not do that bad with it. It has the vehemence that forms the body, the catchiness that makes you want to dance and rock out to it and the compositions are well thought. A little more time for the finishing touch for the guys and that upcoming release will surprise many!
