Helldorado is an Americana/Rock band from Norway. They draw inspiration from a wide variety of sources; including spaghetti western, film noir, alternative country/country rock, garage rock, surf rock, psychobilly / gothabilly, desert rock and tex-mex / mariachi. The band is virtually unknown in the US, but they have a strong fan base in their home country and Turkey.
The new album is really hard to put into one genre. Basically it is a little bit of all genres that are influenced by country music. The awesomely strong voice of the singer is holding you strong throughout the album. Somehow this album makes you swing along and lifts some heaviness of your shoulders. “Sinful Soul” takes you back in time to the wild west, telling tales about the life back then as it was. Only, that Helldorado sings it as if it was now. Sometimes backed up by a female vocalist the music has a saloon character. Helldorado released a great album that is back to the roots but with a view escapes into other genres that came out of Country music. The songs are staying strong on the main course though. Helldorado created a wonderful album. Make sure to get your copy of it and enjoy the three Norwegians walking on American paths!
