The band “Pushking” was created on August 27, 1994. Initially the name of the band was “Lost and Found”. Since the name “Lost and Found” in many ways was considered to be excessively pro-Western our partners suggested to change it. On August 27, 1994 an ordinary German guy Martin Schiffler, who was on his private visit to St.Petersburg, brings up a new name — “Pushking”. “Pushking” is a slang word which consists of two parts — “push” and “king”. Hence in 1994 a new band with the name “Pushking” was born.
Their latest release “The World As We Love It” is an all star project with several known artists including Alice Cooper and such. With nineteen songs this album does not only seem long, but it is long. Yet the journey through the history of rock music cannot be packed into any less. And this is what this album is: A journey through the history of rock music. From 80s metal to soft rock music you can find it all on this album. It is not very innovative but rather a best of rock which makes the title fit just perfect. “The World As We Love It” includes all styles of songs just as we love it, packed together by Pushking. Enjoy the great guitar playing on this album as well as the various artists you will be hearing. Pushking has got it all.
