Wille and the Bandits – Paths

Label: Fat Toad Records
Releasedate: 01-02-2019

British Rock formation Wille and the Bandits set their name in Uk, and now with the fifth full length release on their hands they seek wider territory. “Paths” is available now.

That this band has been around for a while you can pickup quite fast. They present us well thought songs, with the right dose of catchy. Their songs have that bluesy touch, deeper guitarriffs that drag you into the song while they get their time to shine. The trio knows very well how to put the balance in their music. It is never too much of something. From slower moments where they sneak in a lot more details than you may acknowledge at first, towards the most energetic outburst, the guys always know when to stop.

Although the words of the lyrics are not the part that grab you right away, it is not the reason one start to listen to this band, they are often going deeper in their meaning trying to address some themes to you. From political towards depression towards the song “Four Million Days” which describes the search of a lost parent.

The album closes with “Retribution” that seems heaviest in its effect. Altogether the band has made a pleasant album that you simply play multiple times to get the fullest out of it. Not one that easily slips out of rotation.
