Earupt – Elements

Label: self released
Releasedate: 18-01-2019

Belgian formation Earupt makes some Groovy/Thrash Metal. The band recently released their second full length album. It is called “Elements” and it is available now.

For the genre they make I consider this band quite easy to listen to. Pop/rock fans could easily find themselves a bridge here. The clean vocals help a lot woth this, but the catchiness is the key. “Shedding My Skin” has that very familiar sound, Pearl Jam-ish maybe. Some experimenting with the genres is giving the guys a lot of diversity. Not always the most logical choice but that is exactly what speaks for them.

Instrumentally the whole shines brightest when they work it together as a team, no solo moments no spotlights needed, the whole is greater than the sum of parts so to say, Although the guys give us some variation in their songs it is also the instrumental part that stitches them together, vocalwise it seems a bit more apart here and there but nothing that won’t straight out in future releases.

This “Elements” album comes out quite strong, stronger than expected and these songs are sticking with you even when the whole is over, with that “Shedding My Skin” specifically hitting ground. WE’d say: video on youtube and let that draw the cart. It sells the rest.
