Eilera is born in France and currently lives in Finland. She released material before and ann0 2016 a new one comes out after some years of silence. “Face Your Demons” is out now.
There are a couple of things you need to realize about this release. The first is that there is an accent in the vocals which is quite a thing you won’t miss. A dealbreaker possibly, it could really annoy people but for those who can step over that there is something more to consider. The album is one complete cliché. Simplistic lyrics, catchy touch and not really anything unique to this sound.
But on a more positive note we have to mention that the album is put together smartly. The vocals are strong, clean and polished but also a pleasant sound. The instrumental part is sometimes a bit on the poppy side and then they switch more towards that rock/metal side.
Acts like Amaranthe, All Ends , Deadlock all got far enough with this approach so why would it not work for Eilera. The parts that are claimed as contributing to her own style are not there obvious enough to really set her apart, but it could become something perhaps. Just don’t expect something you haven’t heard before.
