Anti-Pasti is a British punk band, founded by vocalist Martin Roper and guitarist Dugi Bell in 1978, featuring Kev Nixon on drums and Will Hoon on bass guitar. Later they were joined by a second guitarist, Ollie Hoon. “The Last Call” is the debut album by Derbyshire punks Anti-Pasti, originally released in 1981.
Fast and thriving punk music comes straight at you when pressing play. The first song includes sirens like you know them during the war, warning you when there is a bomb threat, or in the villages these days, when the fire fighters are needed. The reissue of the debut album “Last Call” brings you back into a time of Anti Pasti that seemed long forgotten. Each song does not last much longer than two minutes but each song is thriving and will definitely pull you along. Pure punk rock music, without any effects or samples. Just plain handmade punk.
Anti-Pasti has revived some amazing pure punk rock music for you. This reissue of “Last Call” comes with fourteen songs on the regular version, twenty-one on the bonus edition and twenty-nine including some live tracks. So which ever you prefer, the choice is yours.
