A brand new band with a brand new album: The Oregon based band Holy Grove have just found together last year, and this year they are already releasing their debut album. The self titled album is walking the paths of a Deep Purple, according to the band. And here is how Holy Grove did by doing so and what the album really sounds like:
The self titled album by Holy Grove begins with a strong and rich instrumental before the vocals set in. The slow rhythm will hypnotize you and get you to sway along to the melodies. Relaxing and smooth yet strong and powerful the music is moving you along with the rhythm. Each song begins with quite a long instrumental to get you into a trance before the vocals place the pictures in your mind. The debut release includes only seven songs that last for almost forty-five minutes.
“Holy Grove” does not really sound like Deep Purple. Instead the album includes a rich guitar sound and steady beats with vocals that fade into the background. Holy Grove play rock music and have their focus on the instrumentals. Loud distorted guitars play a melody that will get you to sway along. Check it out and listen to Holy Grove and their self titled debut album.
