Corners of Sanctuary is an American Heavy Metal formation that starting in 2011. A year later they came with a debut album and soon two more followed. It was time for the band to go international and so their new album “Metal Machine” came out in Europe as well. “Metal Machine” is available now.
The band has an intro to their album, but gives us with the second track at the album another calm intro towards their music. In this title track the band slowly builds to the more interesting parts. When a guitar riff in the background starts to draw attention for a little catchiness they start to draw my attention. The production of the album is not very 2016, whether they deliberately choose to do so is not really clear, but they could have benefitted from a but sharper production.
As you come further in the track list you get to a bit more energetic feel. These songs the band come out better. They have some cool riffing in there, but it falls a bit too much in the back, we hoped the band could put them more upfront in a future release as they are the true diamond in the album to be found.
“Metal Machine” is an interesting release. There are some points to improve for the guys, but the initial idea is there and is not that bad. They seem like an energetic band to see live.
