Duel – Fears of The Dead

They are founded in 2015 but did not let any time go to waste to come with a debut release. “Fears of The Dead” is out now.

So the band self is quite young, the members have known from previous acts and seem to be quite sure of what they have in mind. With the influences of the past in hands, Psychedelic meets Heavy metal and a good rock and roll vibe, the guys have created this “Fears of The Dead”.
The songs flow easily, from the doomy title track to start with to a song like “The Kraken” which has a bit more of a feel good touch to it. It has a catchiness in there and with some interesting riffs you will listen it carefully. Good maybe you shouldn’t expect a whole lot of innovation, but the guys are bringing it with good skill so it is entertaining enough.

Most odd in this release is the last track called “Locked Outside”. It is the longest track with over 8 minutes on the counter and it changes from tempo and mood a couple of times. Then the ending is more abrupt than you would have guessed and the album is over.
“Fears of The Dead” is a good release that does perfectly on your Sunday afternoon’s enjoyment. Your roadtrip or your hangout with friends. Simply pleasant!
