Turbostaat is a punk rock band, established in 1999 in Husum, now based in Flensburg, Germany. In more than fifteen years, the band has not only grown a big fan base and released five full length studio albums. No, the guys have also been touring and, most importantly: Turbostaat has their very own sound they are staying true to. And these guys stayed humble, yet still speaking what they think. No matter what. Now their brand new album “Abalonia” is out.
“Abalonia” comes with ten songs. Catchy melodies combined with serious vocals introduce you to a place that is covered with grey clouds and fog. Introduce you to “Abalonia”. A place that seems so far away, but when you listen closely, this place is much closer than you like it to be. “Abalonia” is filled with lyrics in German. But the melodies and moods that are captured in the songs, transport the message whether you understand the words or not. Turbostaat is keeping up this unique sound with the straight out message that leaves you thinking. Serious and honest. Pure and clear. Leaving no room for misinterpretation.
“Abalonia” is the brilliant new album of Turbostaat. The strong focus on the bass guitar is keeping the rhythm and adds the fog to the image the band creates with each song on this album. Beautiful yet sad. Turbostaat is back. And this album is yours to listen to. “Abalonia” is out now.
