The German rock musician Daniel Wirtz reached a whole lot more people after participating in the TV show “Sing Meinen Song” where musicians of all genres cover the songs of each other and perform it in their own style. Wirtz has been making music since 1999, walking on a solo path since 2007. Five full length studio albums and a special acoustic tour – along many regular tours and festivals of course – Wirtz had shared with his fans so far. From the tour for the lasted tour, the guys have filmed the show in Berlin and released it on a DVD.

The DVD “Auf Die Plätze, Fertig Los – Live In Berlin 2015” comes with an additional two live CDs of the songs played at the show and a Making Of bonus on the DVD that lasts for thirty minutes. Wirtz is known for playing shows that last for more than two hours. So the show on the DVD includes twenty-four tracks. A brilliant and touching show, amazing atmosphere and loads of cheering fans that makes you feel like you have been there as well. While watching the DVD you feel with the band and audience and maybe even catch yourself not only singing along, but also clapping and cheering along with the audience. You can feel with each song, whether you understand the lyrics or not. Watching this DVD takes you on a journey and back to the roots with some songs.
