Valley Of The Sun is an American formation that started in 2010. Themselves they describe their music as Volume Rock which you could place into a Stoner Rock direction. This year the guys come with a release called “Electric Talins Of The Thunderhawk”.

The band generates a strong sound from the beginning, having the whole quite raw on the disc. Is it the combination of drums and vocals that give you that strong body, it are the guitars that give the whole a sharper edge. Simply well thought of, a balanced sound makes the whole come out at its best. A concept the band holds on to and repeats. Maybe repeated a bit too many as towards the end you may be wondering if there is some new trick coming up or not, and it may leave you a bit disappointed to know that, that will be something to await at a new release, but when looking at the tracks individually there will be found enough to be satisfied with. The guys are not sticking within one genre which makes the whole interesting for a large audience and makes that “Electric Talons Of The Thunderhawl” probably finds its way to the people fast.
