The Atkins May Project is featuring both original Judas Priest vocalist Al Atkins and guitarist Paul May. In the past four years the guys have released three full length albums and this year they decided to have a compilation album of that out. “Anthology” is now available.
For those who had not heard of this project before, here is the perfect opportunity to get to know about it. A compilation album to show the best of what has been done. It is mentioned this to be volume one, indication there might be more coming.
What is there then to surprise the listeners that do know the band already. Well, an unreleased bonustrack is to be found on the release, a cover of Phil Collin’s “In The Air Tonight”. May this one track be enough to convince their long-time fans, we don’t know. It does give a nice add to the diversity of the song that are to be found in the release.
About the quality we don’t have much to say, the music has been released before after all but the combination of what the guys have chosen to be released now we can be happy. “Anthology” shows enough reasons to have a look at the other albums as well.
