Death Metal band Ravage Machinery from Finland has been active since 2005. Yet so far not too many releases saw light, but this year the band releases their debut full length album “Subordinated Of The Mechanism” and hopes to set things in motion.
Since the EP of 2011 the band has done some line up changes and with these the band seem to come to its form as is. The band focusses on Death Metal but here and there you might find Thrash elements come forwards just as well. Vocalist Rauli gives the band its aggressive and powerful voice and he does that quite well. Maybe the sound is a bit old school and you will not really hear much of an own identity, it is Rauli who can puts his stamp on it in the details.
Songs that jump out are the 7 minute long “Evolution of Malevolence” in which the guys are showing themselves at it strongest, letting all members stand out best and “Limits of Systematic Madness”.
Altogether these Finns have made a fine release. It may be recognizable, but the guys still gave it a twist of their own leaving you with enough reasons to keep your eyes on them.
