For a band that started out 2004 as kids, going on with pretty much the same line-up for ten years, it’s always hard to keep the fire alive. Something that Walking With Strangers experienced during 2013 and went on a indefinite hiatus. A hiatus that luckily only lasted one year. Today it’s 2015 and they are back doing what they love. Five friends hanging out and just playing music.
Returning after the one year long hiatus due to pressure from the old fans to reunite, and of course because they all found out this was what kept them alive. The love for the music, the fans and also the urge to get on stage. The outcome of the reunion is a brand new album called “Terra”. This release comes with ten tracks that will take your breath away. Not only because it is heavy metal with shouted and growled vocals combined with heavy drums and fast guitar riffs, but also because of the impressive instrumentals in-between the songs. The music of Walking With Strangers is showing you a new horizon that exists next to the obvious. Most instrumentals include a piano, creating images of nature in your head. Before the shouting sets in and the heaviness of the music loses the image of peace and quiet. “Terra” wanders between silence and noise, combining them into perfect unison. As if Walking With Strangers wants to prove, that sound cannot exist without silence. A beautiful and impressive album, not only for metal fans. So check out their brand new album: “Terra” by Walking With Strangers is out now.
