Superheaven – formerly known as Daylight – is an American rock band from Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Founded in 2007 they have released four EPs so far, and their debut album. This is their second album and is called “Ours Is Chrome”.
Coming with eleven songs this album lasts for about forty-four minutes. Although Superheaven is considered rock music, the album reminds more of a grunge album. With the mellow and melancholic melodies, the emotion and energy-less vocals Superheaven wander the paths of Nirvana or Puddle of Mudd. The album is perfect for running in the background as it does not take much attention of what you are doing while listening to “Ours Is Chrome”. The distorted guitars are keeping the rhythm and the drums keep the pace. Steady and smooth Superheaven fade in with your day, life and emotion. Looking for a purpose in life “Ours Is Chrome” is passing by, almost unnoticed to those who do not care. Forty-four minutes are going by fast, leaving an empty space nothing seems to be able to fill it. Sad and dull the vocals come down like a rain shower, building puddles you will eventually step into. Grunge is not dead. Revived by Superheaven you can bring the 90s back into your player. “Ours Is Chrome” by Superheaven is out now.
