Teenage Bottlerocket is a punk rock band formed in Laramie, Wyoming in 2001. The band was formed by twin brothers Ray and Brandon Carlisle, following the dissolution of their previous band, Homeless Wonders, in 2000. Their music is heavily influenced by co-singer/guitarist Kody Templeman’s other band, The Lillingtons, and punk rock acts such as Screeching Weasel, The Ramones, Bouncing Souls, and Misfits.
Teenage Bottlerocket have now released their brand new album “Tales From Wyoming”. This is their sixth full length studio album and comes with fourteen tracks. The album is very thriving and catchy. More rock than punk is what you find on “Tales From Wyoming”. The lyrics of each song are telling stories, some are funny, some are more serious. But the catchy melodies make up for all sadness some of the tales might carry. Some songs are much more danceable than others. But all are easy going and get you to tap along at least. Thriving music with a variety of slower tracks as well as kick as anthems.
I am sure the guys of Teenage Bottlerocket can deliver these songs live just as great and cause some mosh pits and jumping around at least. Luckily you will have the chance to check them out in April. So go ahead, check out their brand new album “Tales From Wyoming” and then get your tickets for a show nearby.
