The Subways is an English rock band. Founded in 2000 they have released four full length studio albums in merely fifteen years of band history.
Their latest is a self titled album and comes with twelve songs. The Subways is a very energetic live band, jumping around on stage, bringing heat into the venue and get their fans hyped up. They tried to capture that on their brand new self titled album. What they definitely captures is their catchy melodies and easy going lyrics. The emotions don’t come across that much. Good thing, this way you can put in your own emotions, empathy, energy or what ever else crosses your mind when listening to “The Subways”. “I’m in Love And It’s Burning In My Soul” reminds a little of a musical song you would hear from the theater stages. The other songs have more of rock songs though. A balanced variety of fast and slow songs can be found amongst this collection of songs. Fast and slow, danceable and songs to sigh to. It has been a while since the last album of The Subways. Four years to be precise. So I guess you can say “They are back!”. So here they are. The Subways back in your record player with new songs. Their self titled album is out now, waiting for you to rock out to it.
