Darkest Hour is an American melodic death metal band from Washington, D.C., formed in 1995. The band released a long list of studio albums and comes this year with number eight to the world. “Darkest Hour” is out now.
In America the band has set themselves quite a name as it seems, but perhaps in Europe they might be less known. To give an idea of what to expect, think In Flames. And that’s it. In Flames. Must be said, nothing wrong to that. A Melodic Death album full of great riffs and catchy refrains leads to an album that will be adopted easily by the listeners. And the fact that the band has eight albums on their name already indicates a certain experience and quality. So simply said, this self-titled album seems hardly to be wrong if you get your hands on it. The band has a good production over it, complimenting the music they have made and with the thirteen songs the guys supplied you with, they show plenty of variation to keep listening throughout.
Darkest Hour is an album that has a bit commercial look at Metal perhaps, those who are more into the rawer styles should stay away from this release but for what the guys have brought you could safely say it is one of the better ones in their genre. Worth to give it a try!
