Foreigner is a British-American rock band, originally formed in 1976 by veteran English musician Mick Jones and fellow Briton and ex-King Crimson member Ian McDonald along with American vocalist Lou Gramm. Jones came up with the band’s name as he, McDonald and Dennis Elliott were English, while Gramm, Al Greenwood and Ed Gagliardi were American.
Their biggest hit single, “I Want to Know What Love Is”, topped the UK and US Charts among others. Many years passed in which they toured and released nine full-length studio albums. Now they have released a best of their all time love songs carrying the title of one of their biggest hits: “I Want To Know What Love Is And All The Ballads”. This album comes with fourteen ballads which you probably all know as they were played on the radio or as a soundtrack to some movies. All songs are slow and full of love and heartache. This Foreigner release is a perfect soundtrack to a romantic evening with candles and roses. Valentines Day is close. So go get this album, a bunch of candles and a dozen roses.
