Releasedate: 02-08-2013; Label: Massacre Records

Death Metal Formation Debauchery has formed in the year 2000. Previously going another name, but through the years Debauchery had its success growing. Anno 2013 the band is ready for the release of album number eight: “Kings of Carnage”.
Debauchery always had a quite steady sound, you did not have many surprises on your hands on any of their releases, but with “Kings of Carnage” you might be wondering what has happened as it seems like some experimentation is going on. Sure, the typical sound of Debauchery is not denied to the fans, no getting around that but here and there some flirting with different genres spices up the whole. Some playing around with the tempo, the structures and some riffs that make you raise your eyebrow for thinking that it really is a Debauchery album.
Though, you will come across the surprise rather fast and realize that what you hear is certainly not a careful experiment, but a well thought one and also… well done. Am I the only listener who feels cheated all these years? Was this all the time there and why haven’t we heard that before then? Nothing wrong with the good old albums, but when “Kings of Carnage” shows that there is more we wonder why it did not come out earlier. Better late than never at all: Debauchery+.
