Chimaira is a metal formation from USA. The band is formed in 1998 and makes Groove/ Post-Thrash Metal. The band just released their seventh full length album called: “Crown of Phantoms”.
“Age of Hell” was a pleasant album that showcased the band best so far an now we are presented its follow-up. The whole line up has changed since the release though, so for this new album we are getting a fresh new Chimaira as it seems. Vocalist Mark has succeeded in getting some good musicians along and it turns out that with this release they remained close to the sound you have known Chimaira for. The grooves are there to guarantee that and Mark is there as a stable factor bringing his vocals. To find a little difference in what the band brought before, you might consider this album a bit more wider in what it brings. Some variation, a little bit more playful perhaps but this you can find mainly in the details.
Furthermore, the album is not really bringing you any shocking new experiences. But brought with the quality you are used to, Chimaira will not disappoint you when listening to this album, that’s a guarantee!
