The German formation Autumnblaze has been formed in 1996. Musically they have been seen in different genre’s from Doom to the more Gothic/Depressive style. Anno 2013 the band comes with a new album called “Every Sun Is Fragile” which is the band’s sixth full length album.
After the pleasant intro on this release you find yourself listening to “New Ghosts In Town” which unavoidably reminds you to Katatonia. The guys self prefer the term Trip Rock for their music which basically covers the load quite well. The dreamy atmosphere make it very easy for you to float of in thoughts while listening it. Guitars driving you from slower tempo’s into hyperactive passages and back. A couple of German songs are to be found at this release as well. A little bit breaking the atmosphere but not interrupting much. The strongest points of this release is when the band is working themselves to a climax of their music. The outburst of energy unleashes the beauty of it all and shows what the whole thing was about.
Autumnblaze have created a wonderful release. After many years of existence the band found themselves a sound that defines them and underlines their strengths most.
