Mono Inc. Is a Goth Rock formation from Hamburg, Germany. The band founded in 2001 and has released a bunch of albums since. Anno 2013 the band comes with their seventh full length album and it’s called: “Nimmermehr”

Partly in English, partly in German. Mono Inc. serves a wider audience than just the ones that speak German. At first it may seem a break in the track list, but the songs have a sound that is in union. Therefore you won’t really get confused with the mix as happens with some other acts bringing this mix. The tracks on this release are all catchy. The melodies are rich and mellow. Maybe not as darka s you have expected it, but when the vocals of frontman Martin come in you get thrown back to that Gothic sound again. Perhaps the pop influences in the release make it easy to listen to and occasionally some female voice makes it a bit more dramatic.

The band is not giving you a very heavy album, but focuses mostly on those elements that give it a bit dark romantic edge. In title track “Nimmermer” you hear a piano part which gives another dimension but maybe a bit sad ending to the album. A good release from these guys, but kept very light.
