They call themselves ‘Die Dinosaurier des Deutschrock’. Founded in 1969 they surely had a whole career behind them. Now the band released the album “- … So Einfach…”.
Good to see the band see themselves as a rockband, but to find it in this release is maybe not the easiest task. The songs are all simplistic, catchy and mostly Pop. It runs smoothly, the lyrics are even for a non-German easy to pick up and the tempo is never really going wild. Same goes for the instrumentals. Never really an interesting breakout to be found, just some simple backup for the vocals. Perhaps the title would have told us already.
You may imagine that the band has some dedicated fans after many years of existence who will absolutely adore this release but perhaps it is not really attracting a new audience. The music is perfect for some easy listening but you should not expect too much out it. The band gives you fourteen tracks that are somewhat similar and may be good for a party mood. “..So Einfach…” is not the album that will change your life. Just an ok pop release but not too much more than that.
