Genetic Disorder is a German Industrial act. They started in 2008 and “Synapsentanz” was the band’s debut album which got out about two years later. In 2013 there is abrand new album ready to be released and it’s called: “Sinusrhythmus”.
The first release of this band was a bit of a race against itself. Stumbling over its own sound again and again there was simply not enough variation in the album to keep it interesting. In “Sinusrhythmus” it seems like this was a point of consideration. It is obvious that some working on that has been done, resulting in having more different influences embraced into the sound. Yet they are not stepping away too much from that stereotypical sound we got to know them with. The progress made is noticeable in tracks like “Koma” which has more Noise into it and tracks like “Überdosis” or the super danceable “Tetrodotoxin”.
Good to see Genetic Disorder come with a release like this, full power and tracks which will do well on the dancefloor. Don’t expect something you have not heard before, but when there is more of something good no one will complain. And when something good turns into even better on a next release, Genetic Disorder is completely in.
