Swiss formation Keadaar is a trio that has been no stranger to each other. The founding members Steff and Andy were playing together longer before René stepped in for the bass duties. The band started to record a full length album which they release now, anno 2013. “Monosound” is out now.
The band brings Alternative Rock with a bit of a sad edge to it. Sometimes they sound a little down and you feel like you have to cheer these guys up a bit. Not that great when you just started listening to an album. Eventually the band seem to bring some different moods as well, though it keeps a bit of a trouble to bring some true motion into the feelings that come across while listening. The band stays too much on the surface, the songs could have brought a little more drama, more highlights and then the album would have had a bit more spice.
The songs itself are not terrible, it is just missing a little excitement. Some pleasant vocals are there, the instrumental part is there but just needs some elaboration. It is in them, but it had not really came out completely. Ah well, an album to learn an album to grow on. Perhaps the next album will bring a bit more and make the band stand out.
